i.

It's Kobe day
I wonder how many fadeaways rip the net the same time as mine
I wonder how much I'm taking for granted

Spiders start showing up in unexpected places
ones that make sense but still, not the usual places

ii.

Radio is really amazing,
when you think about it
Signals go out like webs and
I get stuck between channels
Tell me,
are the currents moving like Air or
like Gravity?
One way streets
Am I in-tune?
How's my body language?
Consistent enough
to keep up with a frequency?

iii.

Am I receiving your signals

Earth catcher?

The noise watering

things down

caught up with

summer rain

valleys of

should’ve would’ve could’ve

Messages beyond the fears

iv.

Desert rose

Still not the usual places

Crossing the bottom and running into spiders

Makes it feel less like a desert

More ancient

More like the ocean floor

But the air is hot

I tell her I need some distance

She understands but

still leaves a mark,

The ground,

 the grounding,

Following shooting stars

recognizing currents and one way streets

Are you receiving me?

v.

Father missing
Desires as houses
Bricks of the wrong material
Relearning to stand
And Cash,
Cash does a magic trick
Where will he go?

vi.

Is this how I'm supposed to be feeling
in between these lines?
